Country Heats

The Middle East Africa Country Heats will take place at limited locations beginning in 2019-2020 . Teams over the course of one or two days will go head to head to design a space settlement according to a Request for Propsoal (RFP). They will then present their proposal in the form of a presentation to a specialist team of judges.

Video Competition

Students 15-18 years of age can  be entered via the MEA Video Competition. The MEASDC can also be entered via our Video Competition. This entry method requires teams to design a space settlement in accordance to a Request for Proposal (RFP) and create a 3 minute video about it. Submitted videos will subsequently be reviewed by a specialist team of judges.

For the 2018-19 competition, a 12 member team will be chosen to represent the the Middle East and Africa at the International Space Settlement Design Competition at NASA's Kennedy Apace Center, USA.

We would like to welcome as many schools as possible to the MEA Space Design Competition. Each venue listed on our Country Heat page starting in 2020 includes information about maximum capacity and remaining spaces available. Some venues will have a larger capacity than others.
